@Tension rising in Auronzo di Cadore for the Tre Cime Experience by Scarpa® scheduled from 18th to 20th September. The ski-mountaineering champions of the Centro Sportivo Esercito will be amidst the contestants too.

It had been in the air for weeks that the athletes of the Courmayeur sports centre and the beating heart of the Italian ski-mountaineering team would be racing at the foot of the Tre Cime. After all, Damiano Lenzi, Matteo Eydallin, Robert Antonioli, Michele Boscacci and Manfred Reichegger know those mountains quite well, since in winter they took part in several Misurina Ski Raids, a ski-mountaineering race that is run along the test tracks of the Tre Cime Experience by Scarpa.
Damiano Lenzi, winner of the ISMF Scarpa World Tour, and Matteo Eydallin who, paired with Damiano, won the Grand Course 2015, will take part in the Cadini Sky Race alongside Robert Antonioli, Michele Boscacci and Manfred Reichegger. Capitan Reichegger will also be in Friday night’s Auronzo Vertical Contest with Michele Boscacci.
The Misurina Sky Marathon contest covers 42 kilometres with an over 3000 metres’ slope, from the Misurina lakeshore via Lake Antorno and high up to the Cadini pass, the Tre Cime of Lavaredo, and the Paterno ridge. The finishing line will also be in Misurina, in front of La Baita Bar restaurant.
The shortest track, the Cadini Sky Race, 20 kilometres and a 1600 metres’ gradient, will take off at the lakeshore and will land at the Rifugio Città di Carpi lodge, after a few stretches of steep technical uphill and downhill slopes, finishing off at the Rifugio Fonda Savio lodge, leading the racers up to the finishing line after a very smooth and easy final stretch.
Friday night’s Vertical Race will start from Piazza Santa Giustina at 6.30 pm and stop at the door of the Rifugio Monte Agudo lodge about forty minutes later. The gradient is 780 metres over about five kilometres."

-      10:00 AM arrival of the first Cadini Sky Race runner;
