We’re there. The countdown to the start of the 7th edition of The North Face® Lavaredo Ultra Trail, in Cortina d'Ampezzo has begun. Everything is ready for an incredible edition. In the mountains, above the 1,900-metre mark, it snowed last night, therefore before leaving for Cortina put some warm clothes in your bag and remember to read the regulations carefully.

Change In Mandatory Equipment
It snowed at 1900 meters and it is very cold; for this reason gloves and hat could be requested in the mandatory stuff,  in addition to what already indicated here (Art. 12).

Condition of the trail and weather forecast
In the last few days the trail has been signposted and made safe. On some stretches there is still a lot of snow, therefore we recommend extreme care and the use of suitable footwear.
The weather forecast is for an unstable situation. Only in the next few days, on the basis of short-term forecasts, 48-24 hours, will we decide whether to run the two races on alternative routes. In any case, the length and altitude of the routes will not change much.

Medical certificate and obligatory gear
When you collect your bib number it is OBLIGATORY to hand in a copy of your medical certificate of fitness for competitive sport.
Foreign athletes should present the certificate downloadable from here: http://www.ultratrail.it/en/medical-certificate.html signed by a doctor.
Upon collection of your bib number the obligatory gear to be used in the race will be CHECKED.
The race bib number will only be consigned to those who present a copy of their medical certificate and all the obligatory gear (see regulation art. 12).
As regards the collection of the bib number by a third party, the race pack will be consigned only to those with a proxy signed by the participant unable to be present. In addition to the proxy, the medical certificate and all the obligatory gear will be checked.
